"Take the EcoChallenge" is a program from the OC Department of Education and OC Waste & Recycling that aims to raise awareness of landfill processes, resource recovery, and organic waste diversion through family engagement materials, student activities, and academic lessons. The program is for grades K–12.
OC Waste and Recycling and Discovery Cube OC are also partnering to bring an environmentally themed, eco-friendly exhibition to the Cube to provide a hands-on, interactive learning experience for County residents. Together, they offer an educational booklet that teaches children how to become eco-friendly shoppers and understand the importance of identifying and properly disposing of household hazardous waste. Additionally, the booklet provides information on effective trash sorting practices, empowering children to make informed decisions about waste management.
Goal: Revamp their existing "Take the EcoChallenge" educational booklet to enhance accessibility and engagement.
DELIVERABLES
New spread layout and vibrant illustrations that:
- Improve readability and visual appeal.
- Capture attention and simplify complex concepts.
- Retain core content while infusing creativity and interactivity.
